Lost Soul

I really hate the way I feel, having to make a choice

But in my heart I know it's right, I hear it in your voice,

My feelings overwhelm me, they make me all confused

Then once more you lift me up, set me on the path you've used.

The past keeps pulling me backwards, ties that won't let go

I hear my children crying, they'll be okay, I know,

You'll guard them with your total love, as you've always done

But Lord please forgive me, but they are my only sons.

My heart sheds many tears for them, every single night

Wondering if I see them again, if I'll win that fight,

But I'll trudge along beside You, praying you'll light my way

And show me the path I should take, each and every day.

I won't give up I promise, and with the strength you've given me

The miracle you provided, the sight you restored, I can see,

And with this gift, I accept, to follow your plan for life

To be a good friend, a faithful soul and a very loving wife.

You've provided me a new map, my journey not so clear

But, I trust your word, dear Lord, I know you're always near,

You've filled my heart with love again, a feeling lost to me

I'll cherish it forever, as I fulfil my destiny.
