ABOUT ME

I grew up in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada with two lovely parents, Scott and Velma, and a younger brother called Wayne. It was a happy childhood and I often sat writing short fantasy stories. My brother always enjoyed reading them, and would plead with me to write more.

My Dad was full of encouragement and told me that one day lots of people would enjoy my writing. My English teachers loved my stories and told me they saved them to read last, as they knew they would be a good read - some even kept my work to use as a teaching aid.

Sadly my dad and brother are both deceased now, but my mother got remarried to wonderful man, Hugh, and he has been as much support as my mother. They both encourage me every step of the way and get very excited when a book is underway.

I got married and had two sons, Scott and Marc. We lived in a small fishing village in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, called Cheticamp.  I told them stories at bed time, or during big winter storms to keep them calm. They always wanted more stories as we coloured pictures of dragons and castles.

Now they are grown up and I have moved on with my life, now living in England in Seaford, East Sussex.  Wherever I have lived I have never stopped writing and much of my time is spent in fantasy worlds, creating new characters, locations and adventures. My characters and their lives develop as I write, so I never know the ending of a tale until I write those final pages. I hope booklovers enjoy reading my stories as much as I enjoy writing them!
